My challenge was to sell contentment to a doomsday theorist. But what is contentment? Contentment is the state of being contented; satisfaction; ease of mind. Who is a doomsday theorist? A doomsday theorist is a person who creates conspiracy theories through analyzed information from science, religion, or etc. to predict how and when the world will come to an end.

I used tarot cards, fortune cookies, and palm readings to compare how believable radical theories are. When a person believes in what a tarot card says about themselves and their future, it creates a positive and grounded feeling knowing what is to come. It offers contentment about their direction in life. For a doomsday theorist, it is the opposite. They look forward to their conspiracy becoming a reality, which is no happy future. The message of the illustration advertisements say: “Contentment: the secret to a happy life.”
